This week was such a bummer. I had my first exam on Wednesday in Transnational law and my grade was not as good as I had hoped. Then I had my Administrative Law final. I think I messed up the first question because I wrote my answer as though the case was in State court but it turns out we were in Federal court. Thing is my reasoning was correct but my citations were State court citations so I hope the professor won't take off too many points ><;;

今週はちょっと。。。水曜日に私の始めの「Transnational law 」の試験の成績はちょっと。。。後で、「Administrative Law」の期末試験があった。一番の質問はだめだ！質問は州立裁判所の質問だと思うけど連邦裁判所の質問だ。私の答えの推理はいいけど私の引用は州立裁判所から。。。だめだ。先生はたくさんの点数を脱んだほうがいいね？

Anyway today was my cousins birthday! じゃあ！！今日は私のいとこの誕生日だった！

This is me preparing my makeup. I thought I would show the "transformation" and some products I use. それは私のメイクアップをしている！ちょっとトランスフォーメーションの写真とどちらのメイクアップを作っている。

Anyway onto the party! This is my cousin and her baby and hubbie they are so sweet~ じゃあ！パーティーだ！いことと家族の写真だ。かわいいいね？

We went to a popular Turkish restaurant! We started with "salads" that included hummus, baba ghanoush and stuffed grape leaves. 人気のトルコのレストランで食べんている！始めの料理はサラダだ。フムスとババganoushと詰められたブドウの葉だ。

Then we had falafel with hot sauce. 後で、ホットソースとファラフェルがある。

My main dish was a kebab mix. It had a little bit of everything. It was so good but literally I was so full I could not move! メインディッシュはケバブのミックスだ。ちょっと全部の肉がある。美味しかったけど食べ過ぎる！！

Our dessert! It was so yummy I wanted to eat more but just couldn't! 私達のデザートだ！美味しかったけどもっと食べたいけど食べることが出来ない。

Okay so later I was really mad because I think one of my parcels I shipped got lost. It has been at the same location for over a week according to the tracking service. I tried calling the post office and the person on the phone was so rude. I told him I had tracking on the package and his reply was "just because you have tracking does not mean you have GPS." I really hope it is not lost but I will be really sad if it is. Also I finally got a letter from my good friend except I did not find it in my mailbox but on the floor under the bushes...all wet...and completely illegible...I am sorry Thao san! I am pretty sure that it was from you! 後で、ちょっとはらだつになったから多分、一つの小包を失われてしまった。一週間にサービスを追跡するによると同じい場所があっている。郵便局を電話をしたの時ポストマスターと話したでもポストマスターは「サービスを追跡するはGPSじゃないからどこに小包があるが分からない。」と言った。後で、家に帰ったの時木の上に手紙を見た。雨を降ったから多分、Thaoさんの手紙けど読むことが出来ない！さびしいいいいい！！！！

So far the only thing the USPS did well was mail me a package from Eri. It was chocolates from Valentines day! 一つのいいUSPSの物はEriさんの小包をもらった！バレンタインデーのチョコレートだ！

They were so yummy! Thank you so much! 美味しかった！ありがとうございました！

I just took my first exam of the week. It did not go perfectly but I hope I did okay!
今日に最初の試験があった。ちょっと難しかったけど。。。

When I got home I had a package! My Silent Moon OP came! This is my first Moi Meme Moite dress! I love it! The only thing I am wondering is if I should wear a petticoat under it and if so what size since mine seems to be too short. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know! Also my friend Charlotte has the JSK version. We will be meeting up this summer and go twinning! I am so excited!

Today I had to put together a 24 hour essay that needed to be in a special e-mail format. I know in real life I would have to do this in only a few hours but in real life I wouldn't be taking a bunch of classes at the same time! The next two weeks are going to be so stressful! On Tuesday I have my first exam for Transnational Law. Then Friday a final for my Administrative Law class. Next week I need to get together a 15 page brief. What makes it harder is that some friends from Japan may come to visit during the weekend and I want to make sure I have proper time to spend with them ><;;. School can be so hard sometimes!
今日に２４時間に電子メールの作文を書いた。弁護士になるの時にその１〜３までその電子メールの作文を書いてなくてはいけないけどその時にたくさん色々な授業がない！次の2週間は怖い。火曜日に最小の「Transnational Law」の試験がある。金曜日に「Administrative Law」の期末試験がある。来週に１５枚の作文が書いてなくてはいけない。大変から次の週末に日本から友達はNYを旅行するつもりだから会いたい！でも、法学部は難しいいいいいいい！！！！

Anyway! Some positive news! I got a new nail polish that I love! My favorite nail polish company is "Nails, Inc." They come up with really creative colors! My base color is Teal Black Kensington Polish and the top coat is The Wyndham Overglaze Top Coat. I felt like a sailor scout taking this photo! :P

The top coat makes a really cool effect. Can you see it? It changes the bottom coat color and adds sparkle that looks as if it is a part of the undercoat!

I got the blouse on EGL sales. I love the blouse but disappointed that even though it came new with tags, the buttons were loose so I need to fix them.

Today I went studying at my friend Ron's house. After we went to this amazing Asian buffet. This is my first plate of sushi. It was so yummy!

Also they had my FAVORITE dessert Red Velvet Cake!

I Celebrate Mardi Gras not Valentine's Day

I am not a fan of Valentine's day (probably because I never have a Valentine :P) But! I do like Mardi Gras. I am not sure how many countries celebrate this holiday but I used to celebrate the American version of this holiday since high school. Back when I was in high school I was the vice-president of my school's "Multicultural Club" and every year we had a Mardi Gras day party. My understanding is that this holiday originated because Catholics wanted one last excuse to party before Lent started. In America we celebrate by having parades and making "King Cake". The state that is most famous for it's Mardi Gras parade is Louisiana. Over there the party gets wild and girls take off their shirts to get "Mardi Gras Beads". I myself never did anything so wild but every year my family and I order an authentic New Orleans King cake. This is our cake this year!

私はバレンタインデーのファンじゃない（私はバレンタインがあったことがないから。。。）でも！マルディグラが好きだ！どちらの国はマルディグラがあるが分からないけど高校からマルディグラを祝している。私は私の高校の「多文化クラブ」のクラブの副社長しって毎年マルディグラのパーティーがあっていった。マルディグラが始めるからカトリック人は「Lent」の舞えにパーティーがほしいから。アメリカでマルディグラの時にパレードがあって「キングケーキ」を食べる。ルイジアナ州のマルディグラパーティーは一番有名だ！ルイジアナ州のパーティーはワイルドだ！女性は「マルディグラのビーズ」からシャツを裸になった。私はそのワイルドなパーティーに行ったことがない。でも、今年に家族とルイジアナ州の有名のキングケーキを買って食べた！

Today I went shopping at my favorite department store, "Century 21". I got two sweaters on sale for $20 each. They were really good quality Tommy Hilfiger! I really need some conservative clothing due to my career path ^^;; Although if it was up to me I would just wear punk all the time lol.

その靴下を買った。スペシャルから上にスティッキーの物がある。買ったから木曜日にベリーダンスのクラスに行っている。いつも跣足に行ってけど今その靴下を使うつもりだ！

I also got these socks. They are special because they have this sticky thing on the bottom. I actually bought them because on Thursday nights I go to a belly-dancing class and I always need to go barefoot so this way I can use these special socks!

Super Bowl Giant wins! + Make a Wish

So two great things happened in sports today. Manchester United tied Chelsea at Chelsea! I was so shocked that all in second half Manchester United was able to score 3 goals! So for me that game was the real super bowl :P
今日にスポーツで二つのいい物がある。Manchester UnitedはChelseaを同点していった。びっくりだけどいいびっくりだった！私はそのゲームは本当のsuper bowlだったよ〜

Later in the afternoon the Make A Wish Foundation had a huge event called "The Polar Bear Club". It actually takes place in beaches all over. In the middle of winter people go to the beach and jump in the freezing cold water. I did not participate in cold water diving but I did take photos!
春に私の出身で「Make A Wish Foundation」は大きいイベントがあった。名前は「The Polar Bear Club」と言う。色々なビーチでそのイベントがあった。冬に人々は寒い海はダイビングに行った！私はダイビングしたくないけど写真を取った！

Tonight the Giants won the Super Bowl. I am not a fan of American Football but since it is such a big deal and since I am a New Yorker I had to watch. Tomorrow I am sure there will be tons of celebration happening in the city!
夜にGiantsはSuper Bowlを勝った。アメリカンフットボールが好きじゃないけど今年にニューヨークチームがあるから見ていた。多分、明日にシティでたくさん祝賀があるつもりだ。

Also random thing I got these two mangas this week. One is Blackbird a shojo manga I really like. I happened to buy the entire series at a bookstore that was closing down so I decided to get the new volume. One of the specific reasons I ordered the manga was to buy the other manga "In the End" by Pink Psycho & Nheira. I specifically got this manga because Nheira was the co-author and he is my favorite artist. You can check out his other work here.

Super Short Update part II My life has become stagnant

So I decided to not join Moot Court :-( This semester my grades MUST improve! I am hoping for two things. The first is to find a school in Japan to do a law school exchange program with in Tokyo. The second, if my school will not allow me to do an exchange I really would like to transfer. To accomplish this, I will need to drastically improve my grades. The other thing is I applied to a job abroad for the summer. In two weeks I will know where I will be placed!

Not too much has been going on. I am so busy with school work. I want maybe participate in the moot court competition but I am worried because of all this work that I already have!
最近はちょっとつまらない。大学の宿題があるからちょっと忙しい。私は模擬裁判の競争を参加したいけど心配から今たくさん宿題がある＞＜；；

But on a lighter note I got tickets to the L'arc en Ciel this March! I am so excited words cannot describe. I already have an outfit picked out! :P I cannot wait! So in honor of this a little video of them below:

I got two amazing parcels today!
今日に二つのすごい小包をもらった！

The first is from my friend Bri! She sent me a New Years/Christmas parcel from Japan! She gave me a Korean chips that are so amazing. They taste like cheese! Also a cute hello kitty card from Waseda!

一つは私の友達Briをもらった！新年とクリスマスの小包をあげた！韓国のポテトチップはおいしいい！！！チーズの味があるよ。早稲田のハローキティカードもあげた！

Also she gave me this adorable winter hat! I love it! Thank you so much!

I also got this great parcel from Charlotte! I absolutely love it! She made me a home made Christmas card! How amazing? Also she got me a yummy candy cane, letters and a phone strap!

So it snowed like crazy today so I had to cancel all my plans today. I did get some good news! A special package I ordered came in the mail today!!!!
今日にたくさん雪を降ったから私のプランをキャンセルした。でも、ちょっといいニュースをもらった！特別パッケージをもらった！！！！

La! Lately I have been busy with school work. I had to write a court brief this week. The brief was weird. Actually the case was weird. It was supposed to be a sex-trafficking case. I think it is funny how our professors want to make the subject matter more interesting by giving us such crazy cases. I already had a rapist, a guy running around with HIV and sex trafficking. With all these cases you would think that these kinds of crimes were common!
最近は宿題から忙しい。今週に私は裁判所の簡単なを書いた。裁判所の簡単なは変だと思う。法律事件は変だと思う。法律事件は性的人身売買の法律事件だ。多分私の先生にとってそのピックは面白いけど私にとってそのピックは変だ！もうレイプ、HIVと人身売買で走り回る人の法律事件があった。ちょう怖い法律事件があるの時その犯罪は共通なけど本当に共通じゃない！

I have also been trying to sell some items online. I didn’t think it would be so hard! One of my items is a gothic set I wanted to sell really cheap but so far no takers. It is actually in great condition so if anyone is interested I am selling it for 35$ + shipping for the whole set! If you are interested at all in the set just leave me a message here!

I guess the last thing worth mentioning is what I had for dinner. I made this awesome salmon and the recipe was SOOOO EASY!
ここは私の晩御飯だ。酒だ。レシピを作りやすいと思う！

Recipe:
Serves 2

1lbs salmon
1 bag of frozen lima beans
12 oz of vegetable juice low sodium
2 plum tomatoes
Hand full of dill
Lemon juice
Salt & pepper
1 tsp Red pepper flakes
3 garlic cloves
Olive oil

Start by add the garlic minced with the chopped tomatoes on a large fry pan with oil. Leave it for 6 minutes. Then add the vegetable juice, red pepper flakes and lima beans. Leave it on medium heat for 6-7 minutes. Add the salmon. You should cook for about 7 minutes or until you feel it is ready (everyone likes their salmon cooked differently). Add the dill and lemon juice and stir on low heat for 2-3 minutes. And Serve!

School Starts = Boring Life

Ya so school has begun. I feel super overwhelmed with work. Six classes this semester! 1. Transnational Law, 2. Administrative Law, 3. Property Law, 4. Legal Writing 5. Civil Procedure II and 6. Contracts II. Oh de joy. I can't even think of taking all the finals for these classes later! Sorry for not translating but because of school work today I had no time ><;;

Anyway! So this Friday I had to stay at school quite late to study with my study group. It was late and we wanted to go eat something and the only thing open was McDonalds. Seriously, I have not had McDonalds for like 12 years so it was so strange! Of course it was yummy, but obviously tons of calories! So I am working hard to eat better.

Here is a recipe I worked on today. Basically if you cook at home odds are you will know what you eat and not eat too many calories!

It is a fish taco recipe.
Serves 3

1 egg
1 lbs Cod fish filet
Panko crumbs
Yellow Corn Taco Shells
3 Radishes
Guacamole
Salsa
Salt & Pepper
3 large lettuce leaves (I used red lettuce leaves but you can use romaine)
Oil

Start by washing all the vegetables. Break the lettuce in half it is to be used in the taco shells. Grate the radishes.
Take the fish and wash it. Season it with salt and pepper. In a separate bowl crack the egg and mix it like you would make a scramble egg. Cut the filets into small pieces. Oil a fry pan and let it heat at medium heat. When it is hot, take a piece and dip it in the egg and then into the panko crumbs. Make sure the crumbs surround it. Then dip it into the fry pan. Fry it until it is cooked through.

Then take the taco shell, start with the lettuce, then add the fish inside. After you can top it with guacamole, salsa and top it off with the radish.
It was super yummy and I hope you like it too!

Last days of vacation

Tomorrow school starts. So my blog will become boring again :(. So this is what I've been doing the past few days.

I did my hair! What do you think of the new color? I think I would have preferred it more brown but the blond highlights are nice I think.

Also it was my dad's birthday so I made him a cake. It has been awhile since I baked and I wish I could make the cake cuter. It was totally lope-sided :P

私のお父さんの誕生日だったから私はケーキを作った。かわくないけど。。。美味しかったと思う！

Lastly, I went to my mom's friend's house. She just got a new dog! Look how cute!

私のお母さんの友達の家に行った。新しい犬をもらった！かわいいいいい！！！！

Also she had this amazing tea spread. It made me wish I wore all out lolita and took photos with the pretty tea set!

友達はすごい茶の普及があるよ！ちょっとロリータの服を着たくて写真も取りたい！

She has a Shi-tzu and they are so cute playing together. 友達はShi-tzuの犬がいってから一緒に二匹の犬はかわいいい！

Oh also I went to Flushing this weekend. I needed some stuff for my lashes. So I got glue and what not. I also got this new face scrub, I hope it works well!

So today I went with my family to Atlantic City. For those of you who don't know Atlantic City is an area full of casinos in the east coast. I usually just play some slot machines when I go. I guess you can say I am hanging onto my vacation although today I already got an e-mail with my first assignment! I am really not in the mood to start school especially after getting my grades back. They were not as high as I had hoped. But hopefully I can bring them up next semester!

今日に家族とアトランティックシティーに行った。私の冬休みは次の水曜日に終わるけど本当に終わりたくない！アトランティックシティーはイーストコーストのカジノの所だ。私はスロットマシンだけ遊ぶ。私は本当に大学に行きたくない！今日に私の始めの宿題をもらった。始めたくない！こん学期の成績はだめだ。でも、次の学期もう頑張ろう！

On our way you can see the huge Borgata Hotel & Casino. It is suppose to have a great buffet. We actually went to Caesar's but the buffet there was really bad. It was off season and not very busy.

それは「Borgata Hotel & Casino」だ。おいしいビュッフェがあるそうだ。でも、私達はシーザーのビュッフェに行ってけどそのビュッフェはおいしくない。。。

I went to have pizza with my friend from undergraduate university. It has been awhile since I saw her and she is going to law school as well so it was nice to trade war stories. 今日に大学から友達に会った。友達も法律の学校に行った。

My new Bershka outfit!

Close up of my make up. I tried a new color combination of Gold/Dark Green. I wanted to wear lashes but my eyes were really irritated so I decided no need to make them worse :P　私のアップしてだ。新しい色を使った。金色と緑だ。まつげも使いたいけど目をいたいだから使うことが出来ない。

I got this new Snoopy Fair app! It is actually a game and you can take Snoopy photos as well! 新しい「Snoopy Fair」と言うのappだ。かわいいSnoopy写真を取ってゲームも遊ぶことが出来る。

Our amazing Pizza! I was really impressed the restaurant was very authentic and all the waiters were Italian!美味しいピザだ！レストランは本当にイタリアのレストランだ！

Code Geass Review

So I finally watched an anime which I enjoyed so much I want to review it! Code Geass is a great anime if you are looking for something to watch!
私はいいアニメを見たからちょっと批評を書いたいだ。コードギアス反逆のルルーシュは本当にいいアニメだ！

The basic summary is Lelouch and his sister are the abandoned prince and princess of the Emperor of Britannia. Britannia is a country which has basically taken over many other countries however, is struggling to keep power in Japan. Lelouch and his sister live in Japan with their maid and go to school, however Lelouch longs to help his sister see a country that is in peace. When he meets C.C. he may get the power he needs to help that dream come to fruition. (To read a full summary click here to go to the Wikipedia page)
サマリはルルーシュといもうとさんは放棄された王子と王女だ。お父さんはブリタニアの皇帝だ。ブリタニアはエンパイアになった。日本はブリタニアのコロニーになった。日本はアリア１１になって日本人は「１１」になった。ルルーシュといもうとさんとメイドは日本で一緒に住んでいてルルーシュといもうとさんは学校に行ってけどルルーシュはいもうとさんから平和の国になりたいだ。C.C.おかげでその夢は本当来ることができるそうだ。（Wikipedia のWebサイトのページ)

**SPOILERS AHEAD**
This anime was absolutely insane. First off it is interesting to see the character development in a lot of the characters. By the time you get to season 2 everything changes and people change sides. I kept hoping that Lelouch would show his identity to the black knights but the fact that he kept it a secret sort of led to the ending. By episode 20 it becomes clear that Lelouch has to be the fallen hero who needs to die so there can be peace. I think the saddest part was that the happy group you see in the beginning never gets back together. That being said Lelouch had his wish come true but it is sad that most people will never know the sacrifice he made so that they can live in peace. Another character I felt very sad for was C.C. Her only wish was for someone to love her, and I believe that in the end Lelouch did love her and yet, they could not be together. Gosh just thinking about the end of this anime is bringing me to tears! I definitely would recommend this anime! But be prepared it is a bit heavy.
そのアニメはすごいだ！一つは皆のキャラクタは面白い変わる。シーズン2で全部を変わった！皆さんを寝返た。私はルルーシュが身元を露にしたいけどルルーシュは秘密を保持した。エピソード20の時にルルーシュは明白になるまでルルーシュ多分亡くなった。それは言ってもルルーシュの夢になったけどルルーシュはその平和の国を全然見ることが出来ない。だれもはルルーシュの犠牲を分からない。他のさびしいキャラクタはC。C。だ。C。C。の一つの夢は他の人はC。C。が愛になる。最後に私にとってルルーシュはC。C。が本当に好きだけど、一緒に関係を持つことができない。最後に考えるの時に泣きたい！いいアニメを見たいの時に本当にそのアニメを見たほうがいい！でも、ちょっとさびしいから気をつけてください。

I guess since everyone else is posting about the New Year I may as well.
皆さんは新年のポストを書いたから私も書いている。

2011 was not the best year for me. I had a lot of hard times. So I hope that 2012 will be better! I am not someone who usually makes resolutions but I guess if I do these would be some:
1. Work harder at school.　大学でもっと勉強したほうがいい。
2. Diet and try to take better care of my health. ダイエットが始めたほうがいい。
3. Try to be nicer to other people and be a bit more social. ちょっともっと親切になったほうがいい。

I will do my best to keep these!

I try to get a soccer memorabilia in every country that has a team I like! Also this dress is Sisley for 50% off! いいサッカーチームの国に行った時サッカーの記念品を買いたい。そのワンピースは「Sisley」のワンピースだ。50% off！！！

Because I just got back and had finals I have no had a chance to post any Christmas cards but I got this really cute one from Thao-san and wanted to post! Thank you so much for the card!

Amsterdam Day 4-- Last Day in Europe!

Today is my last day in Europe! I am so sad I don't want to leave since I like it here a lot! But alas all good things must eventually come to an end I suppose.
今日は最後のヨーロッパの日だ。さびしい。行きたくないからヨーロッパが好きだよ。でも、全部のいい物を終わりになるね？

On our last day we spent the morning going on a tour around the canals of Amsterdam.
最後の朝にアムステルダムの運河のツアーに行った。
It was a lot of fun!
楽しかった。

After we spent the entire afternoon shopping in after Christmas sales. Although I already spent so much money I did buy some small items but because we are packing I will show you what I bought when I get home!
後で、昼にクリスマスの後の販売に行った。私は本当にお金がないけどちょっと物を買った。でも、今、スーツケースをパッキングをしているから帰るの時写真を取るつもりだ。

I had a lovely time in Europe and hope to go back soon!
ヨーロッパの休みは楽しかった！早いも一度行きたい！

Amsterdam Day 3

So today the day began in what was once the Royal Palace. 朝に「Royal Palace」に行った。

Today the palace is used as a town hall for government affairs.今日にパレスは町ホールになった。

When officials from other countries come they use the grand hall for dinners and parties. The hall is designed to show off Roman celestial figures.色々なお歴々に来てそのホールを使いた。装飾はローマの天体の数字だ。

When officials come they bring an entire entourage and during those times the palace becomes more a hotel ^^;;お歴々を来たの時そのヘルパーは色々な部屋で住んでパレスはホテルになる。＾＾；；

The palace was taken over by Napoleon and as a result you can see a lot of French Empire decor in the palace. However, in 2005 when the palace was restored the government tried to use the original 16th century decoration.歴史でナポレオンはパレスを使いたからフレンチスタイルの装飾がある。

One of the biggest finds during the renovation was this platinum/silver chandelier it is absolutely beautiful.

We spent the afternoon in "The Joordan" which is the oldest part of Amsterdam. The buildings here are dating back up to the 16th/17th century!　春に「The Joordaｎ」に行ったそのところはアムステルダムの一番古いの町だ。

At night we decided to have the true Dutch experience and go to the Heineken Experience.夜にオランダぽいの経験がほしいからハイネケンエクペリエンスに行きたい！

I took a lot of silly photos there!色々なばか写真を取った。

So much Beer!

At the factory we had 3 beers. We even learned how to drink beer properly! You must take large gulps and keep it in your mouth for a minute to really savor the sweetness of it. 工場出荷時でビールの3杯を飲んだ。「ビールを飲んだ時に早くてたくさんを飲んだほうがいい」と言うを教えた。その時にビールは甘いになる。

Amsterdam Day 2

So today was quite a long day. We started off by going to the Anne Frank House. This is the house where the young Jewish girl Anne Frank and her family hid during World War II. Anne Frank is most famous for her diary called "The Diary of Anne Frank". It was very sad to see the living conditions she was forced to live in and to see how much hate there was during this time period. Overall it was a sad and emotional experience to see.
疲れた。今日の初めるの時に「Anne Frank House」に行った。Anne Frankは若いユダヤの女性だって第二次大戦の時にFrankの家族はアムステルダムで身を隠した。Anne Frankは有名な本を書いた。名前は「The Diary of Anne Frank」と言った。私にとってそのところはとってもさびしかった。

The photo is taken just outside the museum where there is a statute honoring her.
その写真はAnne Frankの家のそとをとった。像の名誉の彼女だ。

Afterwards, we went to see house where the painter Rembrandt lived.
後で、私達はRembrandtの家に行った。

The house was set up to show how it looked while the painter lived there. Most of the paintings in the house were actually not his but his pupils. He hung the paintings so that people who liked them could buy them. He had a ton of beds and paintings all over the house. Actually Rembrandt died poor but I think it is because he lived beyond his means and spent more money than he was making at the time.
家はRembrandtの同じい世帯を張った。たくさんの絵はRembrandtの学生の絵だ。Rembrandtは学生の絵を売った。Rembrandtはたくさんすごい物があった。多分Rembrandtはたくさんのお金を費やすために年上になる時お金がない。

Later, we went to go see the Portuguese synagogue. This synagogue is highly rated because it is one of the oldest in Europe that survived the war. But somehow after seeing so many other buildings it did not really impress me.
後で、古いポルトガルシナゴーグを見た。ポルトガルシナゴーグはとても有名だけど私にとってすごくない。。。

Finally, we were quite tired so we took a walk back to the museum district. We went to a casino owned by the government and played some slot machines. It was a lot of fun. We also ate at the Hard Rock Cafe which was nice we ate way too much food!
あとで私達はつかれたけどmuseum districtを歩いた。政府のカジノに行ってちょっとスロットマシンを遊んだ。楽しかった。Hard Rock Cafeで晩御飯を食べた。食べ物はすごいおいしかった！食べ過ぎた！

Lastly, my mom really wanted to go to the red light district. Actually I really did not want to go there at all. I feel like it is a sad place to go. I don't want to see women basically prostituting themselves for money. But she insisted and would not be quite about it and eventually her whining annoyed my dad and I so we took her there and just as I thought she didn't like it either. So we basically ended up wasting our night by going there but at least I got some nice photos of the streets at night.
最後、母は「red light district」を見たい。私は本当に行きたくないけど母は本当に行きたいから父と私は一緒に行った。私にとってそのところはさびしくて楽しくないと思う。好きじゃない！本当に好きじゃない！でも、ちょっといい晩の写真を取った。（その写真はred light districtじゃない、色々な町だけだ）。

Amsterdam Day 1

Today was our first full day in Amsterdam and I love this city already! Today because of Christmas most of the stores and activities were closed. As a result, we spent the day in two of the largest museums in the city: The Rijks Museum and the Van Gogh museum~
今日は私達のアムステルダムで最初の日だ。クリスマスだからたくさんの店は休み中だから二つの大きい博物館に行った。名前は「The Rijks Museum」と「Van Gogh museum」と言った。

This is the amazing Amsterdam Central Station. The architecture is just breath taking! それは「Amsterdam Central Station」だ。電車の駅だ。すごいだよね？

This is the outside of the Rijks Museum. The building was built in the 18th century and was built by Pierre Cuypers. Also if you remember I said I would show my buys from Belgium. The coat I am wearing is from Agnes B and my bag I bought at Longchamp (and yes I am officially broke ;P). それは「Rijks Museum」の外だ。18世紀にその博物館はPierre Cuypersは建物を建設した。そして、ベルギーで私のコートとかばんを買った。コートはAgnes BだってかばんはLongchampだ。（はい、今お金がない：P).

This is the Dolls House Dunois. I thought it was so cute. It is quite big and cute!

Although this is not the most famous painting in the museum I really thought the story behind it was so sad. The Goddess of the Moon fell in love with this man but he was put to sleep forever. So she visits him with Cupid although he will never wake up. その絵は有名じゃないけどストーリーはさびしいと思おう。月の女神はその男性を恋に落ちるけど男性は永遠に眠ってなくてはいけない。でも、月の女神とキューピッドは男性を会ったけど男性は全然起きることが出来ない。

Such a cute Cupid statute!

This is my favorite painting ever. I saw it when it came to New York and I wrote an essay about this piece. It is a Still Life with Turkey Pie by Pieter Claesz. I know some people find still life boring but something about this piece it is as though you can see and feel the food! So I love this piece <3 その絵は私の一番の絵だ。ニューヨークがあるの時私は見て大学でその絵の作文を書いた。名前は「Pieter ClaeszのStill Life with Turkey Pie」と言った。多分人々にとってその絵はつまらないけど私にとって食べ物は本当に食べ物みたい。すごいと思うだからそれは私の一番好きな絵だ。

This is the most famous painting in the museum. It is "Night Watch" by Rembrandt. It is a huge painting and very awe-inspiring. The museum is under construction just so there will be a new wing to display this painting.　それは博物館の一番有名な絵だと思う。それは「RembrandtのNight Watch」と言った。本当にすごい。博物館は工事中から新しいの部屋を作りたい。

After we went to the Van Gogh Museum. They did not allow photos so I took one outside. The museum holds 200 of Van Gogh's paintings. I learned that Van Gogh was actually very influenced by Japanese prints that his brother Theo acquired and he even copied some of them! Overall it was really interesting!後で、Van Goghの博物館に行った。写真をとることが出来ないからそのだけある。その博物館は２００枚絵がある。Van Goghさんのお兄さんは日本の絵を買ったからVan Goghさんは日本美術をコピーした！面白かった！

Belgium Day 3 & 4

I am really tired so although I have a lot to write about I will try to keep it brief. Sorry for the lack of Japanese in this post but basically I am exhausted! Because of jet lag I am up from 6:00am doing things until 9:00pm at night. We also had to walk a lot! I guess I am really out of shape especially since I barely move during the semester due to school ^^;;

Day 3

Today there was a strike so there was no metro making it hard for my family and I to get around. It was difficult since my parents were very tired and they could not walk too much. 今日に地下鉄がないからストライキがあった。どこでも行きたい歩くに行ってなくてはいけない。

We started the day by going to the Royal Palace. Sadly, the palace was closed but at least I could take photos from the outside.Royal Palaceに行ってけど残念から休み中だ。でも、写真を取ることが出来る。

After we walked around the palace and was able to see the church the royal family uses. I guess it must be nice to be rich and have your own private grandiose church.

We walked a lot just to see the area since we could not use the metro. We got to this really nice view of the city. Actually right on this block there was an amazing chocolate store! I wish we had time to go back but it is really far. The name of it was Laurent Gerbaud if you get a chance you should go there. ここは一番おいしいチョコレート店がある。名前は「Laurent Gerbaud」と言う。

I had to take this picture of a hotel/restaurant. It looks straight out of medieval times. Actually it reminded me of something from Harry Potter.　「Harry Potter」のところみたいね？

We found this really beautiful street with shops. I had no idea that it is actually a famous street ^^;;　かわいい町だ。有名な町だけど私は分からない　＾＾；；。

This was a window in a shop. How beautiful! きれいな？I guess it is hard to tell what they sell but it is a shop for jewelry.

Inside the cathedral every country sent something for Christmas. This is what Japan sent. I was surprised since basically it is about the burning of the Japanese Christians. I am not sure how..."Christmas'y" that is but hey who am I to judge?

Day 4

Today we went to see the area of the Brussel's expo.

This is the atomium which is a model of an Atom. It is huge.

We went up the elevator. Look how high! ちょっと怖かった！

This is the view from the top. I am sure if it was not so cloudy we could see all of Brussels! Also I know you can barely see (which is part of the problem when taking photos in the winter!) But my outfit today is a sweater from Liz Lisa!

Then we accidentally found ourselves in China. No just kidding. This is an area from the expo. China and Japan build buildings in their countries and brought them to the expo. The king liked them so much he bought them!

Our yummy dinner! I had Belgian beer it was really nice!

Lastly I got to go to this store to buy something for myself...I will uncover my buy soon but today I have to pack and my next post to you will be from AMSTERDAM!

Belgium Day 2 (Long post)

Today we went to the ilot sacré. This translates to the sacred island. It was very beautiful! 今日に「Ilot sacré」と言うのところに行った。すごいきれいだ！
We started by going to the cathedral of St. Nicolas. Around the area there was another Christmas market.「St. Nicolas」と言うのカテドラルに行ってそのところでクリスマスマーケットがある。

We got to go to see the outside of one of the palaces in the grand place. I wish the weather was not so rainy :-(. I was also annoyed because my jeans ripped and my make up was not cooperating with me!　grand placeで一つのパレスを見た。今日の天気は雨だからちょっと不便だ。

This is the museum. But the architecture is so beautiful.They also had a Christmas tree and next to it a model of the birth of Jesus.そのビールは博物館だ。

This is the chocolate version of the famous Belgian statute. This is called in English “The Pee-Pee Statute.” それは有名なチョコレートのバージョンの制定法だ。英語で名前は「The Pee-Pee Statute」と言う。

PS. Belgian waffles are so sweet!おいしいけど甘い！

After we went to a museum for chocolate. You can see how they make the dark chocolate pralines which were invented in Belgium.チョコレートの博物館だ。ベルギーダークチョコレートのプラリネを作った。

These dresses although they look like they are color are actually made from chocolate!　そのワンピースはチョコレートで作った。

After eating tons of chocolate we decided to try Belgian beer and went to this bar.

We tried the Christmas edition of Beers!ビールのクリスマス版を飲んだ。

At night we went back to the St. Catherine Cathedral to eat dinner at a restaurant which was full and we had to make reservations for.
St. Catherine Cathedralのところで有名なレストランで食べるつもりだ。

I am happy today that our dinner was yummy! 今日の晩御飯はおいしかった！

デザートもおいしかった！Our dessert was also amazing. I think we will go back to this restaurant.

Belgium Day 1

Hey! So I just arrived in Belgium! I am super excited to finally be away on vacation! In order to blog while I am on vacation I will probably not be able to write out my posts in Japanese. The hotel we are at right now gives you a certain amount of time for free internet before you have to pay so I want to make sure I keep my posting time short. Today was day 1 and actually the strangest thing happened. We were in a taxi to the hotel and all of a sudden the window of the taxi right where I was sitting shattered! It was as if someone hit it with a bullet or a rock. I got so scared! Then we got stuck in traffic and I had to change seats because I kept cutting myself of the shards of glass. It was the strangest experience I ever had. The worst part was I kept thinking, if I was in America I could sue the company who made the window that randomly shattered. I could sue him for negligence and intentional emotional distress (I was in the zone of danger after all the glass could have really hurt me!)

Anyway after all that drama we checked into our hotel. Lucky for me our hotel is right at the city center (right near all the shopping :P) （私達のホテルは買い物に近い。）

We went to Bershka. I got some really cute stuff there.

Awesome MET day plus Secret Santa Gift!

Okay so My day actually started with some shopping. I woke up really early and went with my dad to go have breakfast near my law school. After we went to buy somethings. Since I plan on working abroad this summer I needed to go buy some more professional clothing. I will post photos of my new suits later after I get them fixed since the pants are too long so they look silly now ^^;;

So I have one final left! Torts aka Personal Injury Law! I hope so much that all my other exams went well! It is so hard to tell with these exams! I hear that grades come out January 11th so I hope it goes well!

I got these lip gloss set from Stila. I love this set! It was so cheap! Only $16! I am splitting the colors with my mom :-)

I also got this new bag for school. Basically I was really against getting a bag on wheels but I keep pulling the muscles in my back from carrying my books so by the end of the semester I was forced to use my mom's suitcase for books. So I wanted to return it to her and get my own that does not look so much like a suitcase. I think this one is pretty nice and looks like a briefcase instead.

Okay not exactly. I got to meet my friend Thanh Thao from Germany! I was not sure if we would be able to meet because I have to study for finals but I decided to take a break to meet her for dinner at least! We had such a good time! I wish we could have spent more time together but after this post it is back for studying my criminal law final for Monday and Torts on Wednesday!

So today I went to my friend Jeff's house and hung out with some friends. I had so much fun! We hung out and had lunch. After we played this ridiculous card game called "Cards Against Humanity". It is like "Apples to Apples". Basically there is one card and it will have a blank like "MTV's new reality show features eight washed-up celebrities living with___" and then we have white cards with crazy answers like "Sean Penn" or "Police Brutality" or "Cuddling". One person doesn't play the round and judges and gets to choose whose answer is the best. Whoever wins the round gets to take the black card with the question. Whoever has the most black cards wins.

Thanksgiving + Black Friday

So there is no holiday more American than Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
多分、一番のアメリカの休日はサンクスギビングデーとブラックフライデーだ。
On Thanksgiving basically you go over and have dinner with your closets family and friends, eat a lot (especially turkey!) and occasionally watch football.
This year I went to my cousin's place. She and her family just moved into their first house. They invited literally everyone to Thanksgiving, there was maybe 20 of us for dinner! Including my cousin's husband's two best friends and his great grandparents!

Dinner was so good! I ate so much! There was so much food! I was really grateful for my cousin and her family for preparing such an amazing meal for us. I was really happy everyone liked my cupcakes as well!

My cousin made traditional sweet potato for dessert as well! You basically mash yams and add some brown sugar and then on top add marshmallows and bake it!

Most foreigners do not know about Black Friday. I am convinced this should be officially an American holiday. The night of Thanksgiving big stores like Wal-Mart, Bestbuy, Target etc...go and have crazy sales! This year I saw people camping outside of the stores as early as Thanksgiving! People go so crazy over the sales that it sometimes gets violent. My dad only participated one time in this type of sale and decided that it was not worth it.

This year I convinced my dad to go out with me a little after the big sales. I just got my secret santa for the world's biggest secret santa at Reddit. Maybe it is because we were late or just not very prepared, but the things we wanted were not really on sale. I wanted to go to the video game store. They had a sale for 2 used games you get one free. Too bad most of the games I wanted were new so I could not find them used. Then the one new game I wanted used cost $54.00. The game new cost $59.00. But the game was on sale new for $30.00 so why would I even buy it used? It made no sense and I ended up just buying one video game. We also went to a home store and my dad got some random things for the house.

China Town Shopping

So a new mall opened a while ago and I heard they had some decent beauty products so I went to go check it out. Since the area is hard to get to from my home I talked my parents into coming with me and they drove me (I hate driving the city it is just too crazy!). One of the reasons I wanted to go was to see a Japanese toy store but sadly it was closed (and no Purikura machines!) The mall itself is really small. The entire first floor is an Asian supermarket with so-so products. The second floor is a bunch of small shops with products that range from toys to clothing. Then the third floor is a dining hall/restaurant with Chinese food.
新しいショッピングモールがあるけど時間がないから行けない。面白い美しさの製品があるそうだから行きたい。その所が車で行きにくいから両親と一緒に行く。日本の玩具店でプリクラがあるそうだけどない。。。。ちょっと残念。ショッピングモールは狭い。一かいはまあまあアジアのスーパーマーケットだ。二かいは狭い店がある。三かいは中国のレストランだ。

First I went to the little shops. I bought a ton of masks which I really like. I also got some cheap eyelashes and one pair of the expensive ones I liked from a Japanese company. The beauty store also had cute hair clips that were not that expensive so I got those too!

After shopping, we went to eat at the third floor restaurant. The restaurant food was pretty good!

You know what I hate about American law system? We need to learn all the laws...so yesterday I was trying to do some practice questions for criminal law and it dawned on me I don't know half the material....
どうして私はアメリカの法学がきらい？皆さんは全部の法学がを勉強する必要がある。昨日刑法の質問を練習したけどたくさん質問の答えが分からない。

Like I was joking with my friend that he better never get into trouble because the only two subjects I know is rape and murder
so like....with my luck I will only be able to get a job in criminal law and I will get a client who is charged with larceny and I will be like...uhh you sure you didn't murder anyone?

今日にカップケーキを作った。ハロウィーンじゃないけど。。。ハロウィーンのテーマだけどかわいいと思う。
Today I made cupcake. I know it is not Halloween but I made a Halloween theme anyway. They came out cute I think!

So I was a bit disappointed because I had no plans for this Halloween even though I had such an awesome idea for an outfit! So after school even though I had like 5 minutes of sunlight left I ran out and took some shots in my outfit. I was a bit sad because my fangs wouldn't stay and then my lipstick idea was an epic fail but at least the general outfit was cute! I am also surprised so far tonight not too many trick or treaters!

Productive but not

Okay so I am totally going to get to work right after I do this quick post (so quick I am not translating to Japanese lol). So I had some family come over and I spent pretty much my entire weekend or at least Thursday thru Saturday with them. My father's aunt and my second-cousin (yes that much extended family came) were free this Saturday so my mom wanted me to take them to the mall with her. And because I am convinced I am cursed, a freak storm came to the east coast! I had to drive in the crazy weather. But once we got to the mall it was fun.

We started by getting a piece of Godiva chocolate. (It was in the shape of a pumpkin!)

We went to Sephora. Me and my second-cousin got these really cool tattoo lip products. It keeps your lips glittery for up to 7 hours. They come in a whole bunch of really cool prints too. I also got this magnetic nail polish which if I get enough work done tomorrow I plan to use.

I also finally got my faux fur vest from Zara. It came in one size, Medium. Do you think it looks too big?

Straight Hair!

So I finally did something I always wanted to do. I got my hair perm straight. My second-cousin has a friend who used to work at a salon in the city but now just works from home. She did a really great job for really cheap so I was really happy. Also now I can grow my hair longer. One of the reasons I kept my hair really short was because it took too long to straighten and I had to straighten it everyday so it was a pain. But now no longer! Anyone thinking of doing a straight perm I would totally do it!

I am so excited about Comicon today. I was a little disappointed. Last time I went to NYCC it was a separate event from NYAF and now that they are combined I felt that there was not as many anime things as I hoped. Also I felt there was not as many giveaways and events. I remember last time I went I got so much free stuff I couldn't carry it all. I guess the economy is really bad! Even when I went to author signings some of them ran out of books to sign and others made us buy the book before hand. But overall I was glad I went especially after my first two midterms (my last one is in November :P). Now I feel rejuvenated to start my research project! Anyway here are some awesome photos from today!

I met her outside and asked if she would take my photo not knowing who she was. I then started talking to her in Japanese and then she told me who she was! So today I went with to the ILS club's trip to the UN. Ironically I have never been to the UN. So I finally got to go! We had an awesome speaker who works as a lawyer for the UN. She is even going the very next week to do work in Libya! She gave really good suggestions for how to eventually get employed by the UN! I was really happy to get go. We were able to see the room where all laws are created. We also go to see the room where countries can petition to help change policies. It was all pretty much awesome.

I also noticed earlier that UNIQLO is opening another location in the city! It is really exciting I just wish that UNUQLO was cheaper in the states since it is so cheap in Japan!

So today is the Jewish New Year. I went to go celebrate it in my uncle's house. It was a lot of fun. We had a lot of food like salmon, chicken and roast beef! We had rice, mashed potatoes, salad and various vegetables. It was so yummy I ate too much.

First mock trial bummer

So my first mock trial did not go quite as planned. Sadly we made a lot of mistakes. I didn't feel nervous but I just did not feel prepared. I think there is nothing more I could have done though. I wish I knew some more about trial court and the procedure before hand so I wouldn't have made such outwardly stupid mistakes but there is no way I could have done more in the short period of time I had.
I guess now my new focus needs to be midterms! I hope I won't fail those as well ><;;

First Mock Trial

Oh man. Tomorrow I have my very first mock trial. I am so worried. The case is about a burglary. My partner and I are playing the part of the prosecution but sadly the facts are leaning more towards the defense. Worst of all last minute we found out some new information about the facts so I had to re-write my entire closing and there is just no way I will have it all memorized by tomorrow. On top of it a lot of the closing needs to be improvised since we are not sure what the defense will present. I will end up being very late in school tomorrow and right after this trial is finished the following week I need to do intense studying and outlining for midterms. This will be a very busy two weeks.

So I really love the new print by Alice and the Pirates. It is called ‘Black cat, Witch and the apple tree’ series. The quote on the print says "If he ate the charm apple your LOVE is sure to be fulfilled, Fire sweet, Fire red and show the face and kissing the red part of the Apple." I think it is really cute. Also their new skirt with this print is so gorgeous.

I think the high-waist skirts are becoming really popular now! This one is already sold out and it still on reserve! I know Innocent World has a lot of skirts like this as well though but it is hard to find any in my size. They run a bit small but I think that if you want to make your waist look thinner this would be a really good style to try. I think I would love to find a skirt like this but affordable!

After doing 6 hours of law work I started browsing the web. I am a really big video game fan and from time to time in-between work I play a 3ds game for fun. But I find most awesome PS3 games require time and some thinking so I haven't been playing any. I was in the middle of Final Fantasy XIII which is a game I absolutely love and I really would like to finish. So I was browsing some new games that have come out since my gaming hiatus that I would love to eventually play:

So I guess the ending isn't super ending if they made a sequel. But this game is coming out in January 2012 so I hope I beat the first part before then! I think the main character will be Vanille but I am not too sure.

So my dvd service that I have been using to re-watch Dragon Ball Z doesn't have Dragon Ball GT. As a fan of the series, I never saw Dragon Ball GT so I really wanted to see it badly. So I decided to order it on Amazon for a pretty decent price and I just got it today!

私はDVDサービスでドラゴンボールZもうもう一度見ている。でも、DVDサービスはドラゴンボールGTがない。私はドラゴンボールのファンだけど、ドラゴンボールGTを見たことがないから見たい！それからAmazonで買った。AmazonでDVDセットは高くないから嬉しい。今日DVDセットをもらった！

I still do not have time to watch the DVDs though. Next week I have my first ever mock trial! I am a little nervous since I have never done this before. Also right after the first round is midterms which is ...worrying me. I know I am not ready to take a midterm under any circumstances. I hope starting next week I can start to study right after the trial. Ironically, the day after my midterms is Comicon so I think I will get a nice break when I finish. Maybe I can even watch Dragon Ball GT!

Ironically, I used to be a big Bill fan until he totally changed up his style. So more recently I really like Tom's style and attitude (even if Tom is a total man whore :P) But recently I hate Bill's new look! It just doesn't look like him anymore at all!

I used to like this look of Bill. I know it is really old and I know every singer likes to change there look but I think his changes are so dramatic. I also think his beard totally does not suit him!

Tom is really attractive also. I mean it is funny because he has a great body and he is quite funny. But I think considering his playboy attitude he must be really insecure. I think that is why he behaves that way...or at least maybe that is my theory.

So I went to a law school cocktail party last night. I figured I should attempt to mingle. I had a good time, especially thanks to the fact that Kat and Stephanie were there and they are just really nice and fun to hang around. I had two drinks (Lychee Martinis) they were really good but quite expensive. The place in general was quite expensive I didn't even bother to try and order any food. The decor was also nice. It was a bit funny because I don't drink very often so when I do I get drunk too easily. I mean I had two drinks and thought I was acting dumb and tipsy so I can't imagine how people get smashed! Anyway I had a good time.

昨日の晩に飲み会に行った。色々な人を会いたいから。。。楽しかったから私の新しい友達がいった。カトさんとステファニさんは親切だから楽しかった。私は二つの飲み物を飲んだ（ライチマティーニ)おいしかったけどちょっと高い過ぎたと思う。食べ物を買いたいけど本当に高い過ぎた。でも、装飾はきれいだった。ちょっとおかしいから私はよく飲まないから飲んだの時に早い酔っぱらいになる。ばかになると思う。人は酔うために好きな理由私にはわからない。でも、パーティーは楽しかった。

There are two outfits I totally have my eye on these days. I think two styles are becoming much more popular. Prince-style and Pirate-style. I think both are really cute. One really cute outfit is from Innocent World it is so cute!

So it may be bad if shopping becomes a hobby because it is too expensive! But anyway I got some PJs and sweaters and stuff at a clothing store. Also got a cute pair of socks.

Yesterday, Starfox for the 3DS came out. Starfox was my favorite game as a child. I was obsessed with this game so when I heard it came out for the 3DS I had to get it. I was lucky since a friend gave me a gift card that I can use. I love this game!

昨日は３DSのStarfoxをリリースされした。子供の時にStarfoxは私の一番好きなゲイムだ。いつも遊んだ。３DSそのゲイムがあるの聞いて買いたい！私はラッキーから友達は私にギフトカードをあげた。そのゲイムが好きだ！

So I went to the Quicksilver surfing competition today. I was not too happy about the competition coming to my town since we are not well equip to handle big crowds but it has not been so bad. I was surprised that they were holding the competition in New York since we do not get very big waves like in California or Hawaii. In addition, if we do get waves they are not consistent so it is hard to plan an entire competition around it. So as I thought, I went to go see the competition today, I even went during high tide and there was hardly any waves. They postponed the main competition to a lower level one since there just wasn't any waves. I still tried to take some photos. It was hard since even though there were barely any waves it was very windy and the wind kept blowing sand into my lens. I hope the photos still came out okay.

今日にサーフィン競争に行った。ちょっと嬉しくないから私の出身は小さくてたくさん人々があるの時に出身は汚いになる。でも、今日にちょう悪くない。私はびくりからニューヨークで大きい波がない。あるの時にいつもじゃない。今日に行って波がない。彼らは競争を延期だった。ちょっと写真を取りたいけど大変だった。砂はレンズに来たから。。。でも、ちょっと写真を取った。

So today I went into the city with my friend Kat from law school. I wanted to go to the lolita store and the Japanese bookstore. I scored a couple of items I plan to use for NYCC.
今日に法学部の友達と一生にロリータの店と日本語の本屋に行った。NYCCから色々な物をかった。

Also we went to the big public library to take some photos. I wore my Alice and the Pirates Vampire Forest gothic lolita dress in blue. I paired it with old shoes I "inherited" from my grandmother. As for a good headdress I am still looking for one but in the mean time I wrote a black one I got from Milk.

So a big book store is closing. So they have sales between 60%-80% off stuff. I got a whole bunch of stuff. I got a Hello Kitty Monopoly, fragrance oils, a bunch of sci-fi books and issues 1-8 of Blackbird. I found out that right now there are 14 volumes of Black Bird. I really like that story though. They also had a Yu Yu Hakusho dvd but it wasn't a box set so I didn't want to get it. I rather buy anime by seasons since otherwise you are buying one dvd at a time and that can get expensive. I hoped they maybe had...DBZ or something but they didn't ^^;; Too bad. But I was really excited to get all these things really cheap!

最近Bordersは閉店をしているから全部の物はやすいい〜売上高は60から80パーセントだ。たくさん物を買った。ハローキティモノポリーとかフレグランスオイルとか色々なSFの本とか第一巻から第八巻などのブラックバードなどを買った。ブラックバードはかわいい漫画だけど二年ぐらい読めない。。。（笑）。今ブラックバードは第一四十巻がある。幽☆遊☆白書のディーブイディーを買いたいがボックスセットだけ買いたいから一度DVDの時高いだ。DBZのディーブイディーの物も買いたいがない。。。ちょっと残念ね？でも、私は楽しいからその物がちょう安いいいい〜〜

Meh. I am so out of it. Today I had school all day 10am to 6pm. It was quite a long day. I am sad that I have no plans for the entire weekend. I know that a hurricane almost blowing our house away should be entertainment enough but....it isn't really. I want to head into the city to buy some Japanese magazines and knee high socks but I don't think I will get a chance this weekend. I also had plans to go to a butterfly garden to take photos (maybe even in Lolita attire!) but uhh yeah time is such an issue. Basically everyday after school I need to study. Then Fridays I have school as well and so far weekends have been crazy mostly because of the crazy weather which somehow always occur on Saturday and Sunday...grr. Anyway at least I looked really cute today! Too bad there are no cute boys to look at :P

It is after the storm. A lot of people still do not have electricity. In my town there is a lot of damage. For example, our boardwalk collapsed in certain areas. My family and I had no electricity for 48 hours. We still don't have internet or TV. It has been difficult...

I know I said I always wanted beach front property....but this maybe is taking a bit too far. As a result of the hurricane the beach has flooded and the water is 15 feet above sea level. Unfortunately for my town...it is below sea level. So the beach is coming to us. The streets are slowly pouring with sand...this is really getting to be bad I guess.

So yeah the worst storm to ever hit my town is currently happening. I will probably lose electricity sometime tonight but while I still got it I am gonna use it! I am really bored being basically stuck inside all weekend because of this storm. It is a little scary since they want us to evacuate but we ...aren't...(oh my family is a bunch of rebels we are). So I have been watching tv, doing homework and what not. I have also been drawing and wanted to try and draw a person. I did a picture of an artist named Nheira. He is really talented and very attractive so I gave it a shot.

So apparently my unprepared neighborhood is facing a hurricane tomorrow. People are in complete panic. There are 2 hour lines at the supermarket and people are going to the beach to get sand to protect there homes.

たぶん明日私の出身で台風がある。人々は怖いだ。２時間にスーパーマーケットでの長い行がある。ビーチで砂を使って家を守りたい。

A lot of people are evacuating. We are not sure what to expect. Rain, water or winds or even all of the above. I tried to get out today as much as I could since I will be basically locked up in my house for the entire weekend because of the storm. I got some photos of surfers taking advantage of the waves from the storm I posted below. You can also visit the photos I posted on my DA account.

So I went into the city with a new friend I made in Law School. It was a lot of fun. We went to the Lower East Side. We went into the area near my old campus. I felt really nostalgic. I got to walk around the park and take some cool photos:

After we went to do some shopping. We got to go to Lush which makes handmade cosmetics. We also went to a Japanese restaurant. It was really delicious and there was a really cute waiter! After before leaving we went to Borders. It is a big bookstore but it is going out of business so everything was really cheap!

後で、買い物に行った。「Lush」と言うの店に行って手作りの化粧品を買った。次に日本のレストランで食べた。食べ物はおいしかった。一人のウェイターはちょうかいわいいい！！！＾。〜後で、「Borders」と言うの本屋に行ったけど、Bordersは閉店をしているから全部の物はやすいい！！！

First Week Law School....

....And I am exhausted! At least this afternoon after my Friday morning class I found letters from my good friend Charlotte which really cheered me up! Classes have been really intense so far. One of my professors is really strict. She won't let us use laptops to take notes..and "doesn't want us going to the bathroom" as it distracts her...Her lectures are good and she is really smart but I think when you are really strict like that you intimidate the students and make them feel a bit reluctant to participate and ask questions for fear of feeling stupid. The readings are really rough. They take a long time to get through and taking notes take even longer. Luckily I have met a really nice pair of girls and we are going to have a study group. Tomorrow we are going to go together to the city and hang out. ^_^

。。。と私は疲れた。この午後わたしの金曜日の授業の後で、私の友達Charlotteの手紙をもらった！嬉しい！！私の授業はいいだけど、一人の先生はきびしい。
１。トイレに行ったほうがだめだ。（それは２時間ぐらいの授業だ）

３。ラプトプをしたほうがだめほうがだめだ。（メモを書くことが出来ないから先生は早い話している。）

きびしい先生の時学生は怖いと思う。でも、私は二人頭がいいの女性を会った。私達は研究グループを作った。明日に市に会いましょう。

Okay so today I did a little shopping. I am redoing my room so I needed some random things for the room. It should only be done in September which is ridiculous but yeah. After I went with my dad to this restaurant that my friend Jeff recommended. I had a Chicken Avacado Wrap. It was amazing.

The place was actually on a popular show on the Food channel. A famous chef goes around to unlikely diners and shows how amazing the food is. Here is the clip:

First Day

So yeah today I started orientation for Law School. I wish I was a little more excited about the whole thing. I spoke with the assistant dean about studying abroad again at Waseda in Tokyo, Japan but he wasn't sure. He has to contact the school and see what happens. I thought orientation overall was pretty boring. The students seemed nice but I didn't really strike any interesting conversations with anyone. I don't know if was me or what but I didn't really meet anyone today. The whole orientation was just a bunch of professors tell us "to be nervous but not to be nervous" or to "work hard but not to work too hard" it was really annoying. I was even more annoyed that I had to wake up at 7am to hear that. I have to check my schedule to see if I even have to go or rather should bother going tomorrow.

今日私の新しい法学部が始めた。もっと楽しいの気持ちがほしいけど。。。ちょっと。。。アシスタントディーンと話したからもう一度早稲田大学に行きたいけどまだ何も分からない。アシスタントディーンは早稲田大学にメールを書いた。法学部のオリエンテーションはまあまあだと思う。ちょっとつまらないと思う。皆さんの先生は「いっぱいストレスがだめだけどちょっとストレスほうがいい」とか「たくさん働こうけど働きすぎるほうがだめだ」などと言ってちょっと。。。ばかのアドバイスだと思う。他の学生もちょっと。。。それは私のせいであれば私にはわからない。。。多分授業が始め時私はもっと友達に会うと思う。明日もオリエンテーションがあるけど行きたくない。。。

I went shopping yesterday as my last "hoorah" before school starting officially. I went to the outlets which is like a mall where they have really good stuff at discounted prices. I got two shoes that I think will suit my lolita outfits. I got them buy 1 get 1 half off. I also got this really cute sweater at Superdry. I was happy since I feel so unprepared for the winter here...now that I know I am not going to California for a while ^^;;. Anyway hopefully things will progress well.

昨日最小の買い物に行った。法学部が始めの前に行った。私はアウトレットに行った。「アウトレット」と言うの意味は割引の買い物だ。二つの靴と一つのセーターを買った。靴はロリータの靴みたいと思う。とっても安いから私は嬉しい！セーターはSuperdryで買った。Superdryはスーパーかわいい店だ。冬から不意の気持ちいがあるからカリフォルニア州に行くと思うから冬の服がない。。。

Sunsets part 2

The past few days have been boring. I need to get new furniture for my room so I have been running around furniture and mattress stores. I was really excited to get my package from Closet Child today. I took a photo in one of the outfits but I looked so fat I was like forget it. Tomorrow I am getting my gym membership back. I went back out to try and get that perfect red sunset shot but made a discovery. Different times of the year the way the sun sets changes. I am not saying the sun moves or anything I don't know the mechanics of it but the sun hasn't been setting the same. I tried anyway.

Also I finished the entire Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. Or rather the books that are out so far. I think the new book comes out in March 2012. To read about the series you can read my earlier post here. The last book was cute but of course completely leaves you hanging. It is probably best that there are no more books out so I won't be tempted to read during the semester. I already had summer homework for law school that I had to finish. I was thinking when I finished the book which brother from the series is my favorite. Personality wise I love Zsadist. His book (Lover Awakened) was probably my favorite. But the brother who personality wise I would probably best suit would probably be Rhage (Lover Eternal) even though I didn't like the girl he ended up with in the book. I think their plot was just too depressing and hit too close to home for me. I also really like John Matthew. His character is probably the most developed and his past is really sad and I loved him in Lover Mine.

In other news! I had to get my hair cut fixed AGAIN. Okay so basically with my old cut the back of my hair around the crown kept sticking up. It looked like hair was constantly oily and I was really annoyed about it. I didn't want to look like I had oily dirty hair for the first day of law school! So I got it fixed:

最近はつまらない。私の部屋から新しい家具を買いたい。だから、色々な店に行った。今日は嬉しいからクローゼットチャイルドの新しい服をもらった。写真を取ったけど、私はきれいじゃないからアップロードをしたくない。。。明日にジムのメンバーシップをサインアップするつもりだ。でも、もう一度サンセットの写真を取りたいけど、同じくない。どうしてが分からないけど赤くない。。。

今日もBlack Dagger Brotherhood Seriesを読んだ。最小の本を読んだ。次の本は３月２０１２年をふうきると思う。大丈夫だからもっと本があるの時に授業でその本を読みたくて宿題をしたくない。。。その本を読んだの時どうちらの男性が一番好きだ。Zsadistが好きだけどZsadistは悪い男の子だから私からその男性はだめだ。多分、私からRhageは一番男性だ。でも、Rhageの本が好きじゃない。ちょっと寂しい過ぎる。John Matthewも好きだ。John Matthewは切な男性と思う。彼の本もちょう好きだ。

そうして。。。もう一度紙を切った。私の紙はかわくない。この週法学を始めるから紙をゆうをしたい！今、大丈夫と思う〜

I promised and I delivered. I finally got some shots of the sun setting. Thing was the sun seemed to move because the sky did not get as red as it usually did and I went to the same spot I usually go to so I was disappointed because the one time I was ready it wasn't as nice as usual. Anyway I think the shots were still pretty nice.

I feel so bad. I totally had intentions of doing a lot of really cool photos and shoots with lolita clothing but I have been too busy and stressed with law school admissions to actually get anything done. Now it seems to be all coming to an end. I will be entering school next week in New York. It has all been very stressful. Now with school starting I will most likely have a lot less time to blog but I will try my best even if the posts will be only in English.
These days since I will be living at home I have to redo my room since I have had the same room since I was 3. My dad agrees it needs some upgrades. So I have been looking through furniture stores and such. In addition, I am trying to finish the rest of Dragon Ball Z before school starts. I don't think I will finish though ^^;;. One of my classes already gave me homework before school even started!
Maybe tomorrow I will go take some photos, these days there have been really beautiful sunsets and I wanted to do a shot in front of it but I doubt I will have time to dress up and I don't have anyone who can help me take the photo I have in mind. I would do it myself but there is usually so many people outside I feel embarrassed to take photos of myself. But I would like to take the photos of the sunset at least if I can. I will try!

Black Dagger Brotherhood Series

This series has been keeping me busy most of this summer. This series is a Sci-fi/Romance/Fiction/Vampire/Fantasy by auther J.R. Ward. The basic plot is there is a species living among us known as Vampires. They are not humans and they can not turn humans into vampires, the only way to beget more vampires is well two vampires getting together (although in rare occasions a human can have a half vampire child). The vampires are currently at war with slayers known as lessers. Lessers are creatures who are soulless and were once human who were forced to become lessers by a creature known as the Omega. In order to protect their dwindling species, the vampires formed an army known as the "Black Dagger Brotherhood". The head of the brotherhood is the purest vampire known as Wrath. Wrath is supposed to become the king of vampires but is reluctant to take the throne. By the end of the first book Wrath becomes "mated" (the vampire version of marriage) and takes the throne. The series really takes off from there. Each book focuses on one of the brother's story's and how they meet their significant other. What I like about the series is how each book has a lot of sub-plots and a lot of twists and turns where you really never know how the book ends.

3 Idiots

Okay this is an amazing movie and definitely in my top 10. 3 Idiots is a Hindi movie that came out in 2009. It is a comedy about 3 college friends. The first friend Farhan Qureshi who was forced to go and become an engineer by his parents although his passion is photography. The second friend is Raju Rastogi. His family is very poor, his mother is retired, his father is paralyzed and the family can not pay for his 28 year old sister to get married. So it is up to him to become a successful engineer and take care of his family. The last idiot is Ranchoddas "Rancho" Shamaldas Chanchad who is the son of the prime minister. The three boys become friends when Rancho is stands up to the school's scary director "Virus". The three guys become closer when Rancho looks out for them during assorted adventures. Throughout their four years in school Rancho was always ranked 1st in exams while the other two boys would rank last.　Rancho's philosophy is that as long as you follow your passion you will become successful. He falls in love with the director's daughter Pia. On the last day the three boys get drunk and Rancho tells the boys why they always fail. He explains that Farhan doesn't want to be an engineer so he should go become a photographer. As for Raju he is too scared to fail and as a result does fail. So the boys promise that if Rancho admits his feelings to Pia they will take his advice. When he goes to Pia's house Raju and Farhan go and pee on the directors door and he catches Raju. Because the director hates Rancho he puts Raju on the spot and says either he is expelled or he helps him expel Rancho. So Raju jumps off the ledge of the building. He barely survives and becomes paralyzed. But thanks to Rancho's efforts he heals. The movie is then taken from the point of view of the future. The number 2 in the school was always jealous of Rancho and makes a bet that he will be more successful than him. Raju and Farhan go with the second best student to find out what ever happened to their best friend Rancho.

Really an amazing movie and I especially recommend it for university students because I feel like the message is really great ^_^

最近私はすごい映画を見た。名前は「スリー・イディオッツ」と言った。プロットは三人の友達はエンジニアの大学に行った。一つはFarhan Qureshiだ。Farhanの両親は彼がエンジニアになりたい。でも、Farhanは写真家になりたい。二つはRaju Rastogiだ。Rajuの家族はお金がいない。だから、Rajuはエンジニアになる時家族を助けることが出来る。最小はRanchoddas "Rancho" Shamaldas Chanchad。Ranchoは首相の息子だ。三人は友達になる時にRanchoはディレクター(ニックネームはVirusだ)をけんかを売る。Ranchoはいつも友達と一緒にアドベンチャーがある。四年にRanchoはいつも大学で一番の大学生だけど、RajuとFarhanはいつも最小だ。Ranchoのフィロソフィーは勉強する物が大好きの時いい仕事を見つけることが出来る。Ranchoの説明は「FarhanはエンジニアになりたくなくてRajuはいつも怖くていい成績をもらうことができない」と言った。だから、RajuとFarhanは賭けをする。RanchoはVirusの娘が好き（名前はPiaだ）だから彼の気持ちを告白の時RajuとFarhanはRanchoのいうことをきくつもりだ。その晩に三人はたくさん酒を飲んでディレクターの家に行って、Ranchoは「Piaが好き」と言って、RajuとFarhanはディレクターの家の前におしっこをしてディレクターはRajuを見た。ディレクターはRanchoが嫌いからディレクターはRajuのオプションを与えた。Rajuは追放することが出来るかRanchoは追放することが出来る。Rajuは選ぶことが出来ないから自殺を試みた。でも、Ranchoを助けた。その映画は、未来の視点から語られている。RajuとFarhanは一番の友達、Ranchoを見つけたい。二番の大学生とRanchoは、より成功するか誰が見て賭けをしたから見つけたい。

大学生からその映画のメッセージはいいと思う。私にとってその映画はおもしろくてそれは私のトップ10になる。

Buu Saga

Okay seriously there is something wrong with me. I am now in the midst of DBZ's Buu saga. I just saw the episode where Vegeta realizes he is going to die fighting Buu. So he sees Trunks and is all "I never hugged you since you were a baby right?" And then he hugs him and tells him to take care of Bulma. I legit was tearing up! Then he asks Piccolo to take care of the kids and asks him to tell him straight if he will meet Goku in the afterlife. Piccolo then answers no, that instead he will go to hell for all his crimes. I was like POOR VEGETA! Seriously something is wrong with me I was totally tearing haha.

本当に私はばかだ！今、私はドラゴンボールZの中を見ている。魔人ブウアークを見ている。最近、私はベジターを戦いのエピソードを見ていた。ベジターにとって魔人ブウを打ち負かすことはできないだから彼は彼自身を犠牲にされる。ベジターはトランクスを見て「私はあなたが全然を抱擁していないね」と言て抱擁していた！ベジターにとってトランクスはブルマの世話をする必要がある。かわいいいいいい。私は泣きたい。その後で、ベジターはピッコロに「死んだの後で孫悟空を見られるか」と言うの尋ねた。でも、ピッコロの答えは「いいえ」だからベジターはたくさん罪のない人をころした。寂しい！私は本当に泣きたい！（私はびょうじゃくだね？）

Tokio Hotel's Elle Girl Interview August 2011

Okay so I really never did a translation this long. In addition, my Japanese is only at an intermediate level. But I really wanted to try and translate this interview for Tokio Hotel fans. I did my best I think you can understand the general idea from the translation. Also if anyone has any corrections or anything feel free to post!

Okay a very very rough translation of the article:

The band is made up of Bill on vocals, Tom on guitar, Gustav on Drums and George on Bass. Together they make up Tokio Hotel. Their home country is Germany where they got their big break in Europe. They went to France 500 times to perform at clubs and performed at the Eiffel for a crowd of 50,000 people. They let loose a lot of charisma.
The band visited Japan 3 times but they take their name from Tokyo the city so it is like they finally found what they are searching for. They have been performing their music since the age of 14 in Germany. In their opinion, Tokyo is the place they admired and they finally reached it. Thus by being in Japan they have fulfilled their dream explained Tom.

We can see ourself in this town (Tom laughed). According to Bill Right now, because at the bottom of the stage there is a lot of crazy and cool young fashion young people, I want to make friends with every person that passes by. Incidentally last time I (Bill) came to Japan, I received a kimono and everyday I showered I would wear it like a robe it is my favorite.

Now the members came to Japan and are very pro-Japan, and so they participated in “MTV Video Music Aid Japan” as well as “VMAJ”. They explained they were very worried for the people in japan. They felt honored to be a part of such a meaningful event. Everyone came together and put all their energy at Japan and they came and wanted to offer their words of encouragement. They said, “Our members told us the hot day before the production commitment. We went to rehearsal immediately when we arrived in Japan. The same day the fans came for the function, the following day in the center of asia the top artists and media gathered at the VMAJ festival and a crowded schedule. VMAJ’s red carpet was an exceptional case for the fans. In our opinion the record company’s services was good. You want to drain this place and cheer as loud as you can for the fans and make a U-turn. There was a storm’s sign because they had a smile on it’s face and there was support. These figures, the top stars, like they are, are very rare. Tokio Hotel fans to stand in front of the festival , “here is it okay to shake hands? or is it okay to hug?” we had to take the consent from the staff, regarding what is permitted during an exchange between the fans. They really admire their impeccable character which they believe has to do with how they revere the gods they worship.

At the VMAJ they sand “Dark side of the sun and Monsoon”. Everyone in Japan had been waiting for them but they were hesitant to go on such a big stage and there was an emotion fondness. In the rear, the primary continuous output down from the podium, before even Bill tried to hype the audience they began to the fuel the performance.

During Elle Girl’s interview, “We love Japan’s Pie and Gummy!” Like little kids, at the climax of the interview, on the sofa you have professional performers come together and they do a complete 180!

“VMAJ Tokyo’s clubs we want to go see!” that is what the members were talking about. But yes, they want to return to Tokyo as soon as possible for the “Northeast flea market” which they visit to do at the spur of the moment. During their free time they tried to scrape from a 4 day trip, they did a bullet train tour. To us we are honored for all of the dedicated Japanese, we would like to show our gratitude!

I am not very skilled at drawing, but I enjoy to do it anyway. I keep hoping that slowly I will get better. Right now I am marathoning on some Dragon Ball Z hence my random DBZ sketching :) When I was still living in Japan I used to watch Dragon Ball Kai. It helped me a lot when listening to native speakers. My favorite character is Vegeta, although right now I am in the beginning of the Buu saga and he is REALLY annoying me! He better improve because Majin Vegeta is getting on my nerves~

So today my town had a fair. We have usually 2 fairs every summer. People can have their own booths and sell different items. It was fun but very hot outside. I bought two really cool hats!

Red Bull Creation

I went to see the Red Bull Creation. It was an event for inventors. People invented different things and then present it and the winner gets like $10,000 and some tools to invent with. I wish the event was better. The problem was it was just too hot to enjoy and there was barely any shade and water was really expensive. But I got some shots of the really cool inventions ^^

Black Death (The Movie)

Okay so I watched such a freaky movie today! The movie was called "Black Death", it actually starred the main actor from "The Game of Thrones" which is one of the main reasons I decided to watch it. But geez it was freaky! It was a horror movie basically which is not my favorite genre. So the movie was really super religious. It takes place in during the Middle Ages during (of course) the plague. The main character is a young monk who is questioning his faith. He falls in love with a woman but because of the disease he urges her to go to another town. She asks him to meet her there and gives him 2 weeks to decide. The monk prays to God for guidance and a group of soldiers sent by the bishop visit the monastery. The group of soldiers went to the monastery hoping to get a monk to be there guide. The young monk decided that this must be the sign he was looking for and joins them. At the very start of their journey the young monk realizes that these soldiers task is not what the originally said it was. The soldiers were sent by the bishop to observe a town past these large marshes. At this town no one has suffered from the plague. The bishop has sent on envoy there and he never returned. The bishop then determined that this town must have a witch protecting it and that it is in fact the devil that is protecting them. He sent the soldiers to kill the devil.

今日に私は怖い映画を見た！映画の名前は「 Black Death」と言う。映画のマインキャラクターは「 The Game of Thrones」の番組の同じだ。それから私はその映画を見た。でも本当に怖かったよ〜その映画はホラーの映画から私はホラーの映画は嫌いよ〜その映画はとっても宗教だ。この映画は中世の映画だからテーマは黒ペストだ。マインキャラクターは若い僧侶だ。でも、その僧侶は女性が好きだから僧侶になりたくない。でも、僧侶の町で黒ペストに来たから好きな女性は次の町に行ってその後で僧侶は女性に会うつもりだ。でも、僧侶は本当に行くかどうか分からない。次の日に兵士を来た。兵士はガイドがほしい。僧侶にとってそれは神様のサインだから兵士のガイドになる。兵士の使命は一つの村で誰も黒ペストをもらうことが出来ない。ビショップにとってそれから魔女はその村で住んでいる。兵士の使命はその魔女を殺すことだった。

The reason I really liked this movie was because there was some historical accuracy to it. First, there actually is a town that was recorded in history that did in fact avoid the plague. The reason though is not because of witches. Actually science shows that people living in this town had a special gene that made them immune to the plague. Also the movie really depicted how crazy superstitious the medieval times were so in that regard it was kind of a cool movie. But overall, the plot was pretty weak and there was super gory scenes...so I don’t think I would recommend it.

私はその映画が好きだから歴史はちょっと本当だ。一つはその黒ペストがないの村本当にあった。本当の原因は魔女ではなくて、町の人々が黒ペストにかからないDNAを持っていることであった。さらに、私がその映画を好きなもう一つの原因は、人々がどのくらい迷信深かったかを表しているからだ。しかし、全体的にいえば、私はその映画をおすすめしない。

Saugerties

Today was so much fun! I went to Saugerties Lighthouse. Sadly it was closed so we could not go inside but we did get to take a short hike around. It was really beautiful! I wish we could have gone up to the top to see what it looks like. But maybe I can go to another lighthouse one day. I will upload more pictures later from the trip.

I really wanted to do some shots in my lolita outfits but I have an ear and eye infection and couldn't put any make up on so I decided not to. After I got to go shopping at outlets and it was so awesome. I got some t-shirts from Superdry (A British brand that uses Japanese!) on sale! It was so great!

私は私のロリターの服を着たいけど私は目と耳の感染症があったからメイクアップを使うことが出来なからロリターの写真を取られない。後で、買い物に行った。私はSuperdryの服を買った。ラッキから販売があった！！Tシャツを買った〜嬉しい〜
